Original painting coming from my desire to finish a 4x6in work everyday of 2022.

This work was painted with several layers of acrylic gouache on aquaboard, a new serface I’m trying out in my practice. I painted the background and then the portrait on top of it versus sketching the portrait and then painting the background around it as I tend to do, so there are some areas on the portrait were you can faintly see the imprint of landscape.
